I honestly thought Return to Amish was gone forever (dunzo!), but recently TLC confirmed that after roughly 2 years off the air, Return to Amish Season 6 will premiere March 22, 2021.
We know that Jeremiah, Carmela, AND Sabrina will be back, and I found hints about storylines in the trailer. What i’m most excited to see is what the heck happened to Sabrina because as we all know she left the show in a really dark place in her life.
I’m most interested in the Sabrina and Jeremiah storylines but the new season will also feature some newbies leaving Amish culture (people seem to want to see that).
Here are three things we can expect from Return to Amish Season 6:
1 – Jeremiah Finds His Family
In Season 6, Jeremiah will be looking to reconnect with his biological family. Jeremiah grew up I believe in Ohio and was adopted at a very young age. I mean who doesn’t like the classic finding my family storyline? In the trailer, a man tells him he wants to do father-son things with him and there are definitely hints that he finds what he’s looking for (yay!). I’m sure he’ll argue with Carmela once or twice too. I like Jeremiah because he’s really like I never feel like he fakes it for the cameras.
2- Sabrina is back!
And as usual, she’s oversharing. In the trailer, she describes how her you know what ripped during childbirth. She has a new boyfriend, named Jethro, and she is expecting her 4th baby. In one scene in the trailer, Jeremiah runs down the stairs and yells at Jethro. I can’t wait to see why.
3 – News Sheltered Cast Members Who Rebel
The new cast members are Rosanna and Maureen – they’re super sheltered and come from a very tight-knit Amish community. Spoiler alert, one of them gets a belly ring and one gets a boyfriend. They will experience a lot of “firsts”.
