Rebecca and Abe Schmucker were fan favorites on Return to Amish. Their relationship and their adventures with momma Mary made the show what it is today.
Abe and Rebecca were on the original season of Breaking Amish, which aired in 2012. They appeared on every season until 2017. We saw them get engaged, get married, have their daughter Malika, deal with conflict with Abe’s brother etc.
It was really surprising to fans when they quit the show abruptly in 2017. There were a lot of unanswered questions, to say the least. After they quit, Abe became a truck driver and they continued to live a very quiet life in Pennsylvania with their girls near family. Fun fact, Rebecca helps momma Mary Schmucker sell Tupperware.
So Why Did Abe and Rebecca Really Quit?
A few days ago, Rebecca posted this image on Instagram that gave us a big clue.
It’s a little cryptic, but it sounds like Rebecca was done with the negativity that comes with being a reality TV star, which is completely understandable. Internet trolls are vicious. Who knows exactly what happened, but I’m happy Abe and Rebecca found happiness away from the cameras.
