Sister Wives Tell All Part 1 – Kody’s Lie

Kody’s perm was ready to go, but this is not a good episode for Kody. This is my review of the Sister Wives Tell All 2022 part 1.

They start by showing the scene from earlier in season 17 when Christine tells Kody it’s over at her kitchen table. Kody says at the time he was in denial and she was decided.

Kody says Christine is a game player. The host keeps digging for him to explain. He says when they moved to Flagstaff, Meri got him a great birthday present and Kody had told the wives that he may want to get back with Meri. He says Christine responded by throwing a fit and storming out of a family party. The problem for Kody is that later, he says the gift was 30 rice crispy treats, which any Sister Wives fan knows was an anniversary gift featured on the show, not a birthday gift.

Meri says that after they filmed their anniversary episode she put her arms around Kody and asked him what he would do if she kissed him, and she says he was physically abhorred, backed away, and said he can’t do that. Meri says “gee I guess that thought didn’t last into the evening”. Somehow in this episode, Christine gets blamed for Kody never rekindling things with Meri. Make it make sense.

Kody goes on about his marriage with Christine, how it wasn’t fixable but he didn’t want to be a quitter. About Christine calling him a coward, he says I’m not a coward the only thing that scares me is poverty. Poverty!?

Robyn

Robyn says when Christine left it killed a dream she had of them being older and around their grandkids. The host asks her do you think Christine thinks you sabotaged her relationship with Kody? Robyn insists all she did was support her relationship.  And through tears, Robyn says she wishes Christine would of let her in. Bad communication is really a relationship problem.

Janelle and Christine

Kody says that Christine and Janelle both wanted to be in the family so they agreed to run their will into his, so basically, they agreed to follow his decisions no matter what. He imitates them wanting to be in the family by panting like a dog, basically describing them as thirsty to be in the family. An extremely strange way to impersonate your wives.

Janelle says she wishes she had a husband that saw her perspective as much as Kody saw Robyn’s. A loaded statement.
