Sister Wives Janelle and Robyn’s Relationship

This is a deep dive into Robyn and Janelle’s relationship and their shady moments.

First Seasons

In the first few seasons, Janelle seemed pretty icy about Robyn. She was most worried about the fact that Robyn didn’t work and that now their finances had to go even further. Let’s not forget that they had struggled with finances in the past. Mykelti said they would basically eat leftover bread in Wyoming.

In season 2 episode 2 when they were in Wyoming at Kody’s parent’s ranch, the kids went climbing this big rock. Robyn was yelling at her kids to get down and Janelle said she was trying not to laugh at Robyn. Robyn threw shade at the other wives and said that she was tired of being the referee and that the other wives don’t care unless the kids are bleeding (!).

Awkward Pregnancy Announcement

When Robyn announced that she was pregnant, there were mixed reactions in the room. Christine hugged Robyn, but Janelle was in the background just looking around awkwardly. Robyn was actually very hurt by the reactions. 

My Sister Wife’s Closet

Next, let’s move on to my Sister Wive’s Closet and that debacle. Robyn kept accusing everyone of not trying hard enough with the business, and Janelle basically said that she didn’t think the business would support more than a few people. She didn’t know why she was giving it time. Then when they did a cringe presentation in front of investors and Janelle was completely embarrassed at how unprepared they were.

In a later season, someone had tweeted that Kody calls Robyn love, and Janelle had responded “He calls me sweetheart, I wouldn’t want to be called love.”

Ohh the shade.

Beyond this, in the later seasons, things escalated. There was one moment when Kody was working out in Janelle’s garage with music. Janelle said she needs something harder and confessed that she actually likes Eminem and German industrial rock. Robyn seemed very judgy in her confessional about this. She talked about how when they were in Vegas, Janelle used to attend concerts and wore black T-shirts and heavy makeup.

Counselor Robyn

In season 17, fans spotted Janelle rolling her eyes at Robyn. Janelle never seemed happy to be even sitting next to Robyn in season 17 during family discussions. Janelle threw shade at Robyn at the Tell All, saying she’s so tired of “counselor Robyn”.
